Sudbury for Racial and Social Justice

  • Sudbury Chamber of Commerce 400 Boston Post Road Sudbury, MA, 01776 United States (map)

Dear Members and Friends,

We invite you to join our Zoom Meeting at 5.30 pm on April 20th, where we will be joined by guest speaker, Debbie Howell of Sudbury for Racial and Social Justice.

Sudbury for Racial and Social Justice (formerly Sudbury Race Amity) was created to provide a space to facilitate and encourage conversations and education. This work seeks to advance access, equity, social justice, and unity by supporting participants in their efforts to interrupt the cycle of racism and to use their sphere of influence in seeking justice for historically disenfranchised people. Our presentation to the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce will focus on who we are, how we came to be, and what we have done and will continue to offer to the community.

Even before her two children were enrolled in the public schools, Debbie became involved with the METCO program, seeing a real need for support of Boston students while in our Town. Seeking like-minded individuals who are passionate about racial equity, she then joined the Sudbury Race Amity committee (now Sudbury for Racial and Justice) to continue educating herself on how to be an antiracist.

Instead of in-person events, we are doing this event virtually on Zoom Webinar where you can connect with us and our experts from the safety of your home.
