This year’s Grand Marshall is Paul Lamoureaux

Paul Lamoureaux has been a resident of Sudbury since 1968. He was Principal at the Curtis Middle School from 2008-2009. As well as 8th grade Admistrator in 2013. In 2009 an Academic Award was created at Curtis, in his name, which is presented to deserving students at the eighth grade Moving On Ceremony each June.

Every student that has graduated from the Middle School since the 80’s knows Mr Lamoureaux best as the Ball Room Dance and Social Etiquette teacher. He has spent decades Teaching, Coaching and supporting local charities and programs.

Parade Info

The parade kicks off at 1 PM on Tuesday, July 4th . All parade participants will gather at Chiswick park, entering from 490 Boston Post Road (across from CVS) where everyone will be directed to their appropriate division. All floats are required to be at Chiswick Park and in their division no later than noon for judging. So, plan accordingly. The parade begins at that point, proceeding down Union Avenue to Route 20, heading east on Route 20 to Concord Road North all the way to Sudbury Town Center. The parade route is approximately 2 miles long. A shuttle will be provided for participants that want to park their vehicles at town center . The shuttle will run from the bus lot behind Peter Noyes Elementary to 490 Boston Post Road at the Chiswick entrance. The shuttle will run from 11am to 3pm. Again, plan accordingly.

Road Closures

Union Avenue will be closing at 12:45; only parade participants will be allowed to enter. Beginning at 12:45 PM, just prior to the parade, the following roads will be closed as well: Boston Post Road (Route 20) from Nobscot Road to Landham Road, Concord Road from Boston Post Road to Plympton Road, and Route 27 from Water Row to Peakham Road. Anyone traveling through the area between 12:45 PM and 4:00 PM should expect extensive delays and/or seek an alternate route. The finish time may vary depending on the length of the parade. The roads will remain closed until participants have safely traversed the parade route. Detours will be set up to minimize the inconvenience to the public.

This years Parade starts at 1:00PM

The parade will include:

  • Approximately 16 bands
  • Fire trucks from surrounding communities
  • Antique and various classic cars and trucks
  • Floats (Commerical, Community, Friends and Family)
  • Scout and youth groups

It’s that time of year again, the weather is fine, the flowers are blooming and the The Sudbury Chamber of Commerce’s 2016 4th of July Parade is about to happen!

This years theme is: “Celebrate the American Dream”

The Chamber is proud to sponser our annual parade, and we would like to thank all of the volunteers, townspeople, participants, town officials and our member businesses for making this such a great day for our community this and every year!

This years Parade starts at 1:00 at Chiswick Park

Our 2016 Parade Marshall is Rich Davison, who just retired from the Sudbury Foundation after 30 years. The parade will include:

  • Approximately 16 bands
  • Fire trucks from surrounding communities
  • Antique and various classic cars and trucks
  • Floats (Commerical, Community, Friends and Family)
  • Scout and youth groups

Information for participants:

This years Parade starts at 1:00 at Chiswick ParkT (all participants are requested to enter through 490 Boston Post Road, Sudbury)
Any participants that are on a float that will be judged must be at Chiswick park NO later than 11:45. Judging will begin at 12 noon.
The 3 Float catagories are: Commercial, Community and Friends and Family.

Bus shuttle will run from 11 to 4p. Bus runs from Town center (bus lot) to Chiswick park (490 Boston Post Road). Parking for participants in town center can be very limited. They can park at the Methodist Church, 251 Old Sudbury Road, and walk to the bus lot. Parking is also available at Chiswick park, participants can take shuttle immediately back after parade or arrange for pick up.

We are always looking for new participants, floats and volunteers (high school students can earn communitiy service hours).
