TOPIC: Expanding the size and scope of the Federal government on the taxpayers dime
Jon has lived in Carlisle, MA since 2000. He lives with his wife, Phyllis or 15 years and his 13 year old son and 10 year old daughter (and two dogs). He is a graduate of Dartmouth College (1989) with a degree in history (with honors). After working for 1 year as a paralegal in New York City, he returned to school at the Johns Hopkins University (School of Advanced International Studies-SAIS). He received his degree in International Economics with a European Studies area concentration in 1992. In 1993, he received his MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania (where he met his wife Phyllis). After graduating, he work as a foreign exchange and interest rate trader for almost 10 years before leaving the industry to start his own small businesses. The first of which was Red River Trading Company. Red River imported furniture and homes accessories (textiles, ceramics) from Asia. He had a retail in Boston’s South End and an online presence. Red River catered to retail clients as well as wholesale. In 2007, Jon started College Sports Fanatics, a licensed re seller of Boston College merchandise. He did this until June 2011 when he began his second run for Congress. He now does this full time.
This olde town tradition is a sight to behold, for the youngest of young or the oldest of old. The floats are unveiled and the ribbons adorned, the blare of the fire truck sirens and antique car horns. The bands they will march or ride on a float, the kids are on bicycles, rollerblades, scooters or boats. The political players they walk and shake hands. The Militia are coming for all who are fans. Family and Friends, come one, come all. Wave the flag, and have a Ball!!
